The smiling faces of farmers at Namijiwa EPA, TA Nkhumba in Phalombe reflect a new
sense of hope and possibility. Today, as our team delivered movable solar-powered
irrigation pumps to local farmers, we have witnessed the power of community-focused,
sustainable solutions in achieving climate justice.
Through the CJC Project, under DAI Global UK, Agritrust Limited, and CICOD, today
delivered innovative solar pumps to local farmers. These pumps represent more than
just advanced farming technology; they are a crucial step toward climate action.
By harnessing solar energy, these pumps reduce reliance on fossil fuels and lower
carbon emissions, thus positively contributing to the fight against climate change. This
initiative underscores the importance of integrating local understanding and participatory
design to create effective, sustainable solutions.
