Our Story
Empowering communities in Malawi since 2005
Who We Are
Circle for Integrated Community Development (CICOD) is a leading Malawian non-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives through sustainable development initiatives. Founded in 2002 by community activists, we empower vulnerable communities to determine their own development needs through active participation. Registered with the Malawi government under the Trustees Incorporation Act in 2004, CICOD operates from its head office in Lilongwe, with impact areas spanning multiple districts. Our approach prioritizes local ownership, sustainability, and measurable change.
Our team of passionate professionals combines local knowledge with global best practices to implement programs that address the root causes of poverty and inequality.
